De BroeksterMaar offers two nicely decorated double rooms, each with own bathroom.
In the rooms you will find a televisi on (satellite), a radio alarm with CD player,
a comfortable sitting area and, of course, excellent beds. The rooms join the lounge
where your breakfast will be served. This is also an excellent place to read your
paper and drink your coffee. Opposite your room you will find your own tasteful bathroom
with a shower, toilet, washbasin and hairdryer.

You can also choose for our 4 persons luxury appartment “De Peerdestal” (The Horsestable). The Horsestable is in fact and extra big hotelroom for 2 persons, with an extra sleeping area for another 2 persons and fully equipped (fridge, dish washer and combi oven) kitchen/dining room. The living has a.o. satellite tv, DVD player, VCR, radio and CD player.
Activities
•De BroeksterMaar directly leads to canoe and fishing water and the surroundings
are perfect for biking and hiking.
•Organising a hiking trip in the Wadden or renting a canoe or bike, we are happy to arrange this for you.
•From the harbour of Lauwersoog the ferry leaves for the island Schiermonnikoog;
a daytrip to ‘Schier’ is a memorable event. 
•Pieterburen where you will find among other things the seals nursery and the botanical garden ‘Domies Toen’ (the pastors garden) is at short distance of fifteen minutes by bike.
•The National Park ‘Lauwersmeer’ is nearby and worthwhile to visit any time of the year.
•Of course, you’ll have to see ‘De Theefabriek’ (the Tea Factory) museum in Houwerzijl and the ancient Verhildersum manor in Leens.
•From May to October a recital on the famous Hinsz organ of the Petrus church in
Leens is held every Saturday night.
In the house smoking is not admitted.
Our sauna and solarium are available (at additional cost) for private use.
As a rule Hostellerie de BroeksterMaar does not serve dinner, but we will be glad to advise you when choosing one of the surprising restaurants in the surroundings. Something simple, romantic, a culinary treat or something typical of the Groningen region. Plenty of choice!
